Below, A report on Belgian television (in French), on the participation of Josef Schovanec (name inventor “Help”, and sponsor of our organization), accompanied by our Ambassador in Belgium, François Delcoux, during “The blue socks operation”, manifestation of autism awareness, in Brussels :
Note : Contrary to what is said in the report, Autistan is not a country “imaginary”, but an abstract concept (ie. “the mental country of autistic people”) which represents the “mental world of autistic people”, which corresponds to a reality, and not something that only exists in the imagination.
Every autistic person has a “personal mental world” which is his own, but there are similarities between every autistic. Since companies “ordinary” (so the countries “classics”) have difficulty accepting autistic people on the one hand, and that on the other hand autistic people live a lot in their “inner world”, then the concept of a “pays” non-material of autistic people (corresponding to the “world of autistic”) seems logical, so that autistic people have at least “their place somewhere”.
Have your place in a “refuge” mental is better than nothing, and better than not having a place in a country “ordinary” material.
Finally, Autistan also corresponds to the notion of “autistic nation”, characterizing a category of people close by birth.
