The Goals of the Autistan Diplomatic Organization

  • -G0100- SYMBOLICAL REPRESENTATION OF AUTISM Symbolical representation of autism and of the autistics in the world

    • Disclosing and maintaining the description of the real nature of autism, like an "autistic flame" (or light), with a message

    • Being like a"signal" or a "catalyzer" for the "waking up", "unlocking", and encouragement for the autistics

    • Maintaining a symbolic and official representation and recognition of the autistics as a human category

    • Defending autism and the right to be born for the autistics

  • -G0200- MENTAL REFUGE FOR THE AUTISTICS Mental and moral support for the autistics of the world

    • An autistic mental refuge, for relief and peace of mind

    • Giving some hope to the autistics (and their families)

    • A "positive focus object" really useful for the autistics

    • A life-saving tool for the autistics

  • -G0300- DIGNITY FOR THE AUTISTICS "Correct social recognition" of autism, and self-esteem improvement for the autistics

    • Through to our own organization and decent physical Embassies

    • Through to our concept of autistic Ambassadors

    • Through other tools like the National Identity Cards, etc.

  • -G0400- VALUING AUTISTIC QUALITIES AND LIVES Material presentation of autistic qualities and achievements, and memorial

  • -G0500- EXPLAINING AUTISM Explaining and supporting the mental world of the autistics

    • Building "communication bridges" between the autistics and the non-autistic world (to help both populations to understand each other)

    • Explaining "autism"

    • Promoting autism acceptance and awareness

  • -G0600- ADVISING THE GOVERNMENTS
    Para-diplomacy and public policies : advising the governmental bodies for the correct consideration of autism in the public policies, and for the concrete application of the measures required

    • Head of State, or Foreign Ministry

    • Special Needs or Disability Secretary

    • State Human Rights Council or Ombudsman

    • Education Ministry

    • Health Ministry

  • -G0900- SELF-ADVOCACY SUPPORT Support to the social and political official representations of the autistics in each country (with the priority to the existing self-advocacy groups)

    • Support, harmonization and synchronization of the autistic advocacy efforts in the world

    • Fostering the creation of autistic self-advocacy initiatives in the countries

    • Striving to replace that (temporarily, in a provisional manner), in the countries without any autistic self-advocacy yet

  • -G1000- PRACTICAL SUPPORT Material support for the autistics and for those helping them

    • Consular section for the autistics

      • Support for travels and "life-discovery" for autistics in the given country
      • Autistan Citizen National Identity card
    • Consular section for non-autistics persons

      • Organization of visits of the Embassies, and discovery of the Autistan (through autistic creations, stories etc.)
    • Collaboration to meetings and events for the autistics, organized by autistic groups or by other organizations

    • Emergency physical refuges for autistics in the Embassies

    • International Autistic Exchanges (correspondants, penpals…)
